Cooperation between “Al-Tadamun” and the “National Alliance for Civil Work” to provide cash support to more than 900,000 new families within the framework of “Solidarity and Dignity”

Today, the National Alliance for Civil Development Action signed a cooperation protocol with the Ministry of Social Solidarity; With the aim of cooperating and coordinating efforts; In order to start implementing the exceptional package for social protection, directed by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the President of the Republic, to support the most vulnerable families, in the presence of Dr. .

 

The cooperation protocol was signed by Mrs. Nevin Al-Kabbaj, Minister of Social Solidarity, and Dr. Noha Talaat Abdel-Qawi, Secretary of the National Alliance for Civil Development Action.

 

The Minister of Social Solidarity said: The signing of the cooperation protocol with the National Alliance for Civil Development Work today comes from President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, the President of the Republic, that the year 2022 will be the year of civil society. Believing in his abilities and capabilities that he employs in partnership with government agencies to serve society in all its categories.

 

The minister added that the protocol also comes out of belief in the principles of social justice that the Egyptian state has taken as an approach since the beginning of 2015, and in support of the mission and charter of the National Alliance for Developmental Civil Action to strengthen partnership with civil work associations and institutions to achieve effective contribution to the development of local communities in various areas of development.

 

With regard to the objectives of the protocol, it aims to coordinate the efforts of the Ministry of Social Solidarity and the National Alliance for Civil Development Action; To implement the mandates of the President of the Republic, regarding the provision of the new social package to support the most vulnerable families in a participatory framework that achieves the public benefit, and also enhances the efforts of the state in implementing its national policies and strategies regarding ensuring human rights, as well as expanding the umbrella of social protection, while at the same time striving to ensure access to Support for its beneficiaries with the best available financial inclusion mechanisms.

 

With regard to the details and provisions of the protocol, the minister noted that under the cooperation protocol with the National Alliance, the number of families covered by cash support within the “Solidarity and Dignity” program will be increased from 4.1 million families to 5 million families, meaning that it includes about 22 million Egyptian citizens, through Include more than 900,000 families to benefit from the conditional cash support program.

 

According to the protocol, the Ministry of Social Solidarity will provide cash support to 500,000 families, out of the 900,000 families that will be included in the “Solidarity and Dignity” program, while the National Alliance for Civil Development Action will provide cash support to 420,000 families, in addition to providing food support to the total 180,000 families, bringing the total number of families that will be supported by the coalition to 600,000 families.

 

For her part, Dr. Noha Talaat, Secretary of the National Alliance for Civil Development Action, said: The signing of the cooperation protocol between the Alliance and the Ministry of Social Solidarity aims to coordinate the start of the implementation of exceptional social protection measures, as directed by the President of the Republic, where the coalition will provide support to 600,000 families per month.

 

She added that the support will be through fully self-financing from the budgets of the member institutions of the alliance, stressing the commitment to the utmost governance controls in implementing all the plans of the alliance in this regard; Starting with the selection of eligible families, organizing tight mechanisms for implementation, ending with monitoring the improvement in the conditions of citizens through accurate evaluation and follow-up mechanisms from associations and volunteers, through the exceptional database of the coalition, which is updated periodically through the field monitoring volunteers of the presidential initiative “Hayat” Karima”, whose number exceeded 50,000 volunteers, along with the volunteers of the members of the coalition as well as the grassroots associations.

 

 

At the same time, Dr. Noha Talaat confirmed the continuation of all the work plans of the coalition institutions in their usual framework to provide various aspects of health and social care, provide opportunities for economic empowerment and achieve food security for the largest sector of the targeted citizens.

 

It is noteworthy that the National Alliance for Civil Development Work was launched on March 13, 2022, with the participation and membership of major civil and development institutions in Egypt, which includes 24 associations, civil institutions and a service and development entity, including the General Union of Associations and NGOs, which includes in its membership 30 specific unions and 27 A regional union, which works in various fields of development, including services, health, awareness, education, construction, and others. The National Alliance for Civil Development Action includes in its membership the General Union of NGOs and Institutions, the Foundation for a Dignified Life, the Egyptian House of Zakat and Charity Foundation, the Al-Jude Charitable Foundation, the Orman Association, the Egyptian Food Bank, the Misr Al-Khair Foundation, the Magdi Yacoub Foundation, the National Cancer Institute in all its branches, the Coptic Evangelical Authority, Baheya Foundation and the Foundation People of Egypt, Life Makers Foundation, Egypt Shepherd Foundation, Resala Association, Al-Baqiyat Al-Salihat Association, Liver Patient Care Association, Cairo University Hospitals, as well as Al-Arabi Foundation for Community Development, Dr.
